How to Set Up a Professional Email Address on Your Domain

May 23, 2026Many people prefer Gmail but want to send from their professional domain address. Here is how to connect them — free and quick.
What you need
- A cPanel email account set up on your domain (see this guide)
- A Gmail account
- Your cPanel mail server name and password
Step 1: Add your domain email to Gmail (to receive)
- Open Gmail and go to Settings → See all settings → Accounts and Import
- Under Check mail from other accounts, click Add a mail account
- Enter your domain email and follow the prompts
- Use POP3: server mail.yourdomain.com, port 995, SSL
Step 2: Add as a send-from address
- Under Send mail as, click Add another email address
- Enter your name and domain email
- SMTP server: mail.yourdomain.com, port 465, SSL
- Verify via the confirmation email sent to your domain inbox
After setup, you can choose which address to send from in the Gmail compose window.
